Press release n. 1 of the 09/06/2023 11.12.04 ( download )

First held during Tecna 2022, the international conference will be back with talks by leading companies on the aesthetics and design of latest-generation surfaces

Rimini, 6 June 2023 . Technologies and aesthetic trends in the field of latest-generation surfaces will take the spotlight at the Decortech Conference, the international meeting for surface industry companies, professionals and buyers shortly to be held in Rimini.

The event originated as a thematic section at the last edition of Tecna, the major international exhibition of surface technologies and supplies held in Rimini last September, which saw the participation of exhibitors from all over the world. The first edition of Decortech was a big success with buyers and exhibitors, who saw it as a unique opportunity to discuss the characteristics of latest-generation surfaces.

Scheduled to take place on Wednesday 14 June 2023 at the Palacongressi in Rimini, the conference will feature presentations by leading players in the fields of technology, raw materials and research aimed at creating surfaces with outstanding finishes and aesthetic quality. Alongside top industry players and experts, the conference will be attended by a delegation of international buyers from Europe, Latin America, North America, Sub-Saharan Africa and the MENA region selected in cooperation with the Italian Trade Agency ITA.

The Decortech Conference fully embraces Tecna´s slogan of ´How to make it´ and reflects the growing importance of aesthetics and design in the development of finished products and processing technologies. It is a prestigious event where the leading companies in the field of industrial processes will have a chance to discuss key themes relating to latest-generation surfaces and aesthetic customisation.
Presentations will be given by five leading players in the industry: Cefla - Business Unit Finishing, SCM, Superfici, System Digital and Tecnografica.

Cefla - Business Unit Finishing is a world-leading supplier of systems for industrial coating, decoration and digital printing of wood and wood derivatives, plastic, metal, glass and fibre cement. At the conference, Market Development Manager Luigi Franzoni will discuss the latest opportunities and technologies for finishing and industrial digital printing in a wide-ranging presentation covering aspects of product aesthetics, performance and durability.

SCM, a leading international group in the field of processing technologies for wood, plastic, glass, stone, metal and composite materials, will give a presentation entitled ´Laser applications and special 3D polishing effects´. To compete in today´s market, it is essential to provide customers with high-specification tools that enable them to produce unique products. Quality and aesthetics are the keys to success. What path has SCM taken and what are its latest innovations? Product Manager Lorenzo Bugli will answer these questions.

Superfici, a historic SCM Group brand originating in the wood finishing equipment sector, will also be participating with a talk given by Claudio Baldizzone, Product Manager for UV technologies, on the subject of ´Technology and excimers: high strength properties with ultra-matt finishes´. Excimer technology is without question one of the most useful solutions for responding to the new trend towards ultra-matt finishes.

System Digital is a brand of System Ceramics Spa, a Coesia Group company that designs and builds industrial process systems at an international level. System Digital, which operates in the field of digital printing applications on glass and other non-ceramic materials, is one of its strategic units. Specifically, the division has developed Creaglass, a high-performance drop-on-demand digital inkjet printing system capable of printing on these substrates and providing application solutions in various fields. Area Manager Marco Poggi will discuss this and much more.

The fifth company participating in the Decortech Conference will be Tecnografica, one of the leading suppliers of decoration solutions for the ceramic industry, with a talk on the relationship between design and technology given by Chairman Paolo Lamberti. The use of increasingly innovative digital printing applications has completely transformed the industrial production of decorative surfaces. Printing speed has become a key characteristic of this process. Which sectors have driven the change, which technologies have been superseded and, finally, in which direction are the new production models evolving?

Foreign buyers attending the conference will also be able to take part in a number of interesting ancillary initiatives organised in cooperation with the Italian Trade Agency ITA. Visits to the sites of sponsor companies will be organised on Tuesday 13 June, then on the day after the conference, Thursday 15 June, the delegation will have a chance to explore the culture of the Rimini area.

The Decortech Conference is organised by Italian Exhibition Group in cooperation with ACIMAC (Italian Ceramic Machinery and Equipment Manufacturers´ Association).
